    Part of Chill-out

Balearic beat is a style of dance music that originated in the Balearic Islands, particularly Ibiza, during the 1980s. Known for its relaxed, eclectic mix of genres, Balearic beat blends elements of house, disco, ambient, and rock with smooth, laid-back rhythms. The genre is characterized by its atmospheric, sun-drenched vibes, often incorporating tropical or world music influences. Balearic beat tracks typically feature mellow beats, smooth basslines, and uplifting melodies, creating a chilled yet danceable sound that evokes the feeling of a beach party or sunset. It’s a perfect soundtrack for relaxed club environments, with artists like Danny Rampling and José Padilla helping shape the sound.
