    Part of Techno

Acid techno is a subgenre of techno music that emerged in the late 1980s, characterized by its use of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer, which creates distinctive squelchy basslines and psychedelic melodies. The genre features repetitive beats and hypnotic rhythms, often incorporating elements of acid house and trance, resulting in a sound that is both energetic and immersive, popular in underground dance scenes.
