Part of Funk Carioca
The foundational era of the 1990s, characterized by the 'Volt Mix' beat and social consciousness. These tracks, often called 'conscious funk,' focused on narratives of peace, pride, and daily life in the favelas, featuring melodic structures and a slower tempo (around 125 BPM) influenced by freestyle and soul.
